Room was spacious, well designed and clean. Great bathroom amenities. Very comfortable stay. It's in a nice neighborhood - very quiet but walking distance to shops, restaurants, train, everything. Would highly recommend.

Husband got takeaway from restaurant down stairs and chicken was undercooked, we paid for full 10 days breakfast buffet and did not go because of this reasoning

modern and clean suites hotel

We have stayed many times at the Adelphi 49. Very convenient location for both Thong Lor and Sukhumvit plus the MRT and BTS. I have noticed that the quality/spread of the breakfast has declined significantly post covid.

The breakfast is not what it once was.

ADELPHI FORTY-NINE is a wonderful little 7-storey apartment-hotel in an excellent Bangkok location, walking distance from Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital. Each suite has a small living room and a kitchenette complete with stove-top burners, microwave oven, large refrigerator, clothes washing machine, toaster, kettle, dishes, pots and pans. The spacious bathrooms have a large walk-in shower, bathtub, and state-of-the-art toilet with automatic settings for every kind of “rinsing” :=) And each suite has a small balcony with a table and two chairs - a bit too small for comfort - but satisfactory if you want to step out for a cigarette. There are flat screen televisions in both the living room and bedroom. The hotel does not subscribe to a wide range of international channels, but you can access YouTube and/or log into Netflix (if you have an account). The hotel’s WiFi connection is strong and stable, perfect if you need to work remotely from the hotel. The hotel has a lovely rooftop swimming pool which sits next to a small, gym - a great bonus! And the staff is exceptionally attentive, always ready to send someone to your room within minutes if you have even the slightest problem or question. The hotel restaurant offers a adequate breakfast buffet. It’s nothing great, but all the basics are available - coffee, juice, breakfast cereal, eggs, toast, pancakes, fresh fruit and yoghurt.

The hotel restaurant is satisfactory for breakfast, but it can be a problem for lunch and dinner as the restaurant is strictly Japanese. If you’re looking for “international food,” then the hotel restaurant may not be for you. But the good news is . . . right next door to the Hotel is HUNGRY PACK DINER (open from 9am to 7pm daily). It serves delicious all-day breakfasts and a delicious array of foods and salads. After you check-in at ADELPHI, I suggest that you immediately visit HUNGRY PACK and request a menu to take to back to the hotel. Then you can order food by phone and HUNGRY PACK will be happy to deliver to your room. Please be advised that there is a doggy hotel on the SOUTH SIDE of the hotel, and dogs run around in the yard during the day. For me, this was not a problem; I loved looking down from my balcony and watching all the cute little puppies running around in the yard . . . but, if you think you might be bothered by the sound of dogs barking in the distance, then I suggest you ask for a suite on the NORTH SIDE of the building. That will solve the problem. (And, if you do decide to stay on the south side overlooking the doggy hotel, I recommend that you request a room on the upper levels (the 6th or 7th floor). And finally, please know that ADELPHI FORTY-NINE has NO smoking rooms! If you want to smoke, you’ll need to confine yourself to the small balcony in your suite or to the outdoor seating area beside the rooftop swimming pool.

Modern.. cost effective

No frills though it might be a merit.

The room was very good. Bath/shower was excellent.

While most staff were polite and courteous we were overcharged for a river cruise arranged by the hotel on the first night of our stay. When we showed them the "error" the person who pocketed the money disappeared for the remainder of our stay. No refund of the overcharge was received. The taxi booked by the hotel took us on a joy ride (monitored on phone GPS) to max out the fare. We used online taxi booking for all other transport. Online booking was reliable and fairly priced.

exceptional service - when the atm swallowed my card they offered to pay for my dinner and taxi ride to the airport. also, spacious apartment compared to the price with a good location (if you don't want to be in khaosan)

Some more advice on the area would have been nice. I think we missed out on some of the more local attractions.

Location is good. Near by subway station. Local food reataurant has valiations. Clean and quiet. Room size and separated by door suite room.

Great bathroom, lots of space in the apartment, very cozy. Solid breakfast buffet, eager (though sometimes overeager) staff.

We didn't feel like our particular washing machine did a good job of cleaning our clothes. We were sort of counting on those laundry facilities at that point in our trip, but didn't feel the one in our apartment was especially effective.

Great service; general location (relatively close to BTS station, many restaurants in the area); the Japanese-style bathroom (large tub, bidet toilet seat); in-room washing machine.

Breakfast buffet was neither good nor bad, simply average. Regarding location: hotel is a relatively short (8 minute) walk from the BTS station. However, it is a rough walk, as sois off Sukhumvit barely have sidewalks. Fortunately, the hotel has a shuttle that can take guests close to the BTS station, on request.

Breakfast was great, wide range of choices. The pool has a special athmosphere, the room is rather an apartment not a room only. We were satisfied. The only problem we had is with the payment. You have to pay in advance one additional night as deposit, that you will only receive in two weeks back. We think it is quite unfair block and keep your money for two weeks after check-out. ( you stay two nights for example but in reality you pay three at check in)

The hotel is tucked in some inner street next to Sukhumvit. Nice location, bu the street was not pedestrian-friendly! The hotel’s entrance facade also doesnt reflect the niceness of the room.. Other than these, Adelphi is excellent

Prices for drinks were high in restaurant

The room is large and the facilities are perfect and convenient, especially the bathroom. Shuttle bus can send guests to Oasis Spa, although the distance is not too far, it is still considerate.

The breakfast can be improved, because there aren’t so many types.
